New Name, old hands .…

Frikkie and Sonia van Kraayenburg have been caring for dogs and other animals in excess of 40 years. They are well known personalities in the dog world and have written two books: A new approach to the Management and Breeding of Protection Dogs (1995) and Breeding German Shepherd Dogs (2009). They are also acknowledged experts in canine Psychology and Behaviour. Click here to access their full CV's.

Their initial boarding kennel was founded in 1983. Through their experience and knowledge of animal welfare, they have developed pet friendly boarding based on the psychological needs of the animals they care for. Their system is unequalled anywhere else.

They are also internationally renowned for their breeding of German Shepherd Dogs. Their Breeding Kennel, Grehenheim, was the first to be awarded a Diamond Breeder’s award by the German Shepherd Dog Federation of South Africa and the kennel is today the only holder of a Double Diamond award. Both are senior judges of German Shepherd Dogs in South Africa and Frikkie is also a German SV judge qualified to judge in Germany. Both have judged internationally many times.
